hello all,

we are currently working on something super rad with our dear friend jac vanek and we would love to hear your ideas. if you were to throw a themed party, what would the theme be?

You are about to read something that really gets to me.

People who act fake to the people they worship or want to be like.  By this, I mean candy-coating your idols in lavish comments about how wonderful they are... even when they're obviously not.   i.e.  telling them they look gorgeous when they're so obviously looking super horrible.

The first thing most people don't realize is that your idols aren't as great as you expect them to be.  Trust, and take this from someone who knows.  I've had many experiences with false idols.  You think you know someone from reading about them or admiring them on the internet, when in real life that person is a pretentious ass... probably thanks to the praise you gave them that wasn't required in the first place. 

Some of these people you applaud feeeeeed off your jealousy and admiration, so what's the point of putting them on an even higher pedistal when they don't even deserve it?

I'm not saying don't show any appreciation for them, i'm just saying don't act fake and pretend you're their best friend when they don't deserve it.  Don't try to be like them because you're much better off just being yourself.

Idolize people who have done some good in the world.  Taking a pretty picture should not  qualify as a good deed, or be the reason you bend over backwards to please and feed the monster.

If you're from Canada, you know what the MMVAs are.  For those that don't know, it's our version of the MTV movie awards... only put on outside the Much Music building in the streets of Toronto. 

They make it out to be a huge event, closing down streets and building huge stages and sets, and hyping it up like it's the greatest award show in the world.  In reality, there are only about 10 musical "celebrities" who perform (Avril Lavigne, Maroon 5, Hilary Duff, Fergie, Belly?...), all of which appear in the nominations over and over again.  I'm convinced they just switch the order they appear in.  I guess it's safe to say that if you're a band/artist/director who shows up at the award show, you're bound to get an MMVA of your own.

The MMVAs are a cool idea, that atmosphere is a cool idea,  I just wish they could pull together as many people and celebrities as they can for the MTV awards.  It doesn't make sense to me really... Since Much Music probably plays the artist's music videos wayyy more than MTV does... you'd expect them to appreciate it and get a first class flight to Toronto.  I realize that will never happen, so why even bother having an awards show if it's gonna be shitty anyways?

hey kids,

so as you know... we have some good news and some bad news for you. the bad news is that we decided to no longer continue doing killscene radio. unfortunately it is too time consuming and we are unable to fit it into our busy schedules anymore. it's a sad day but don't worry... the good news is that we are working on doing mini movies and other bigger/better projects instead of killscene radio so keep your eye out for updates.

what is killscene?
killscene is currently an online radio show hosted by tara and dana. it features music, interviews, and pure random randomness. it is also the life and times of tara and dana and their ongoing adventures, and soon-to-be internet empire featuring a clothing line and more so WATCH OUT! tara and dana's lifestyle revolves around music and even some of your favorite artists. they have lived the "backstage life" for years and now we're here to expose the unexposed, and cause our own scene. call us sick-of-it-all or crazy and bitter, but we're all about fun and can't wait to share our experiences with you all and give you a taste of the not-so-glamourous life of fame. tara and dana also encourages everyone to be themselves and not pretend to be someone their not just cause it is the "cool" and "scene" thing to do. this is what killscene is all about. you'll have to stay locked to the killscene myspace or website (www.killscene.com) to experience what is "killscene".

the history:
where the hell did we come from? we've actually been doing this for years. we used to host a radio show under the name of our late artist promotions company entitled Sugardevil Radio. we've been taking over the scene and working with bands since 2001 and aren't about to stop now! though this may be the first you've seen of us, we've been around the web forever! from cam girls to music magazine creators and owners, we've had NUMEROUS websites focused on ourselves and our lifestyles since the beginning. with those projects in the vaults, we're here to give you something FRESH, and something DIFFERENT... and that... is killscene.
