February 25, 2008Goodbye!
Hey guys,
Killscene was a fun gig, we had a lot of good times... but unfortunately we
can't continue to do shows and online stuff together anymore. This
profile is here to inform you of this update, and is a sample of what
we were, what we worked for together, and the good times we had on Buzznet. We will still come on occasionally to chat and see
what's up individually, but this is the end of our journey as "Killscene".

January 7, 2008A Shot At Lies with Tila TequilaSo as you may have already heard, Tila and Bobby broke up. Shocked? Don't be. This show is more scripted than you think. "....the night was amazing except for the fact that Bobby had broken up with me a few days before all of this went down. I wasn't expecting it at all because I thought I had finally found someone that I was compatible with, but I guess I was wrong" - Tila's Myspace Blog, January 1/08 Funny thing though, castings for A Shot at Love 2 had already begun at the end of NOVEMBER. (http://www.shotatlovecasting.com/). That's way before the reunion show in case you're wondering. Either Tila was searching for a menage-a-trois, OR this show faked the whole thing so they could carry on to another season. I'm going with the latter. There were also some rumors that the show made Tila eliminate Dominico because they didn't want to spend the money to fly her to Italy, and that the crew and set people would provoke the cast members to start drama with one another (such as the elimination fights). The real question is though, why would we want to watch it again? xo

December 5, 2007eat something.I'd be lying if I said I never think I'm fat sometimes, or wish something about me was different. Over a while, I've realized that everyone thinks this way sometimes. The people you think would be least likely to hate their bodies always have some part that they're not happy with. Your idols, your friend with the "perfect body", the hottest girl in school... ALL think this way at times. And probably think this way even more than you do because they know that people are watching them and they have a figure to uphold. Celebrities pay big money to look the way they do. Whether it be with plastic surgery, or personal trainers who work them super hard for 2-3 hours a day. They work very hard to look the way they do, and to many "regular" (meaning non-famous) people, it's not possible to spend thousands of dollars on trainers, diets, or surgery. Sure, it IS possible to become a size 2 and look perfect all the time, but the sacrifice in my opinion isn't worth it. Starving yourself to loose pounds, or going under the knife to make yourself into someone you're not is only a temporary fix, and causes so many other problems emotionally. Think about it: if you did become a size 2, will you really feel like you've accomplished something? Who's to say after that you won't want to become a size 0, or change something else about yourself? Not only that, who are you really doing it for? Yourself, or the people who look at you so they view you differently? When I was younger I was the skinniest girl in my class, maybe even in my whole school at that point. I ate normally, I didn't stave myself at all, yet was called anorexic by other classmates. I tried to GAIN weight, it just wouldn't work. I was a size ONE how gross is that? And I say gross because I did not want to be the tall skinny girl, and looked like a sack of bones. Even at a size ONE I was unhappy. A size that girls now would kill to be for some reason. I went up to a size three, then finally a size five and was STILL called "too skinny". (My grandpa even called me "skinny" as a nickname.) So I said screw it. Womanhood came and I gained some more weight and I was happy. My point here is that no matter what size you are, people will always judge, and skinny girls definitely do not get the praise they hope for. Look at Victoria Beckham, she was SO skinny and being critized for it constantly. She probably thought people would think she'd look better as a size zero and she'd be happier, but guess what, once she got there the comments still didn't stop. The public can be cruel, but you've got to be strong inside and realize that these people who put themselves through the pain of getting to look a certain way are not perfect, and you should not be expected to look like them at all. I would much rather be happy about myself than have to worry about making other people happy with my own image. It's MINE not anyone else's. Obviously I still have my "fat days" and days I just feel gross like EVERYONE does, but in the end, I'm happy being 5'8" and 120lbs. After all that work trying to gain it, why go backwards. I realized that if you're going to change yourself, do it for YOU not for anyone else. And if anyone ever calls me fat after I worked to gain weight, I might have to slap them. xo Danakiller

October 25, 2007so you know what's annoying? These new ads on Buzznet that expand every time you go to a profile. As if ads weren't bad enough, now they have to cover up what you're trying to look at until you click off of them. You know what ELSE is annoying? (I'm going to vent some more while I'm here.) How we're "Buzzmakers" but don't appear on the front page links anymore. What's up with that? This site plays favourites way too much. I thought it was a community site not a personal website for *ahem* certain members. You should all write in or leave a comment about how we should be on the front page again! OH and I thought if I saw Tila Tequila in a random place one more time I was going to lose it, but apparently she's now got some type of partnership going on here and I'm regretfully still sane. I'm sorry, but sometimes "role models" should be examined, especially when they appear on a website that is full of underage kids. She's in(ternet)famous for taking off her clothes and pretty much being a slut (excuse my language but it's true). I love Buzznet, but sometimes............ xo

October 2, 2007Interview with Alex of All Time Low
Our good friend Lauren of the Killscene Killteam recently conducted an interview with the lead singer/guitarist Alex of the band All Time Low for Killscene and here it is:
Toad's Place in New Haven, CT - September 30, 2007 Lauren: So...your new album just came out. Alex: Yes. Lauren: You stoked? Alex: I'm more than stoked, super stoked actually. Lauren: How was the process for you guys? Alex: Oh man, it was hectic as hell. Really kind of nerve racking too because we wanted to outdo ourselves obviously because the EP was way more of a success than we expected it to be so we knew we had a lot to really live up to and we really busted our asses but I think it came out well. Lauren: What's your favorite song? Alex: Stay Awake. Lauren: Me too actually. Remembering Sunday came out really good too. Alex: Yeah, yeah, yeah it really did. Juliet sounds amazing on that song. Phenomenal. Lauren: Yeah, did she come in and record with you? Alex: Yeah, she did her record with Matt Squire too so that's how that whole thing got hooked up and she came out for a weekend and sang the shit out of that song. Lauren: If the music industry didn't label bands how do you think things would be different? Alex: Confusing, you wouldn't know how to find the top music in certain genres in stuff like iTunes. It's good that they do it but it sucks for certain bands who kind of fit between a couple genres. For us we're just pop punk so it's easy for us but ya know for the experimental bluegrass hardcore bands it's kind of difficult. Lauren: Hardcore bluegrass? Alex: It's like hardcore but with a banjo. Lauren: What's more difficult for you, writing or recording? Alex: Writing. Recording is just really tedious after a while cause you don't just record it in one thing with everyone sitting there and playing the song. You track drums first, then you get to bass, then you do guitar, then you do vocals and everything has to be recorded perfectly. So you do it over and over again. Lauren: what's the biggest mistake you've ever made on stage? Alex: Um, sometimes when it's a song that starts off with me singing I'll just start singing in the wrong key and then we have to stop and start over cause I'll be like what the fuck? I'll loose it and then we have to start it over again. Lauren: Do you have any pre-concert rituals? Alex: Not really, nothing weird. I mean I warm up my voice and dance around and stuff and I do pace, I get a little nervous so I pace. Lauren: If it was your last concert ever what songs would you open with and close with? Alex: We would open with Dear Maria, and close with my rendition of "Do You Believe In Life After Love" by Cher. Lauren: That's badass. I know when you do Blink-182 covers I like it cause it actually sounds good. I mean when Avril Levigne did her cover I almost died. Alex: Horrendous, that was absolutely horrendous. Lauren: It was. Someone wanted me to ask you if you would cry if you were interviewed by Barbara Walters. Alex: Barbra Walters would cry. I would make her cry. Lauren: If you had to choose would you rather be Bob Saget or Regis Philbin? Alex: Bob Saget. Lauren: Why? Alex: I don't know, cause he's Bob Saget. He was on Full House. Lauren: What's the girliest habit you have? Alex: I straighten my hair, everyday. Lauren: What kind of a straightener do you use? Alex: That's a good question. I used to have one of those good ones, a Chi but it broke and now I have some shitty thing. Lauren: But you have short hair though so it's all good. Alex: I do. Lauren. I just noticed how random these questions are. Alex: It's all good. Random is fun. Lauren: Yes. So what is your favorite pick up line or technique that you use to get girls? Alex: I don't think I've ever used a pick up line. I'm just myself....or ya know a roofie. TOTALLY KIDDING. Totally kidding. Lauren: what's one question you always wanted to be asked in an interview? Alex: I always want to be asked who my boyfriend is, to which I would answer Dan the Douche. Dan the Douche: Alex, the Boston Globe wants to talk to you. Alex: Oh sick. Well how many more questions do you have? Lauren: It's cool don't worry about it. Alex: Are you sure it's okay? Lauren: I'm positive, it's cool. Well thank you. Alex: You're welcome, that was like the best interview ever, I'm getting sick of the same old questions. ![]()

I'm sick of writing about her but....WOOWOO! Britney lost custody of her kids! Another dramatic situation the ex-pop hoochie brought on herself. That would sound mean if it wasn't about her. This is probably one of the smartest things the "hollywood" judges have settled on. I'm sure if it was anyone else (a non-celebrity type I mean), Child Services would have stepped in SO long ago. Did she really think it wouldn't happen? I mean she's in magazines every week for doing another stupid act and flaunting her drug/alchohol abuse problems. NO child should grow up under those circumstances ever. Famous parents or not. I bet they hardly even spent time with her due to her being out clubbing, flashing her snatch and shaving her head to match anyways. Come on, imagine that was your MOM. It's about time justice was served. I'm sure there will be some mental scarring on her kids when they get a little older. It's so sad. I'm not too sure about passing them off on K-Fed though. Just imagining him with kids kind of makes me hesitate, but who knows maybe he'll prove people wrong. What do you think???? xo danakiller

September 10, 2007Dear Britney Spears:Stop trying. Actually, stop TRYING to try. Wow. I missed the VMAs last night but just watched the recap of the opening performance on Buzznet... I think everyone's already said it enough, but I will say it once again (maybe if we combine mental forces we can banish her for good this time)... GIVE IT UP! So many people were rooting for her this time and giving her the support she needed and she pulled off such an amateur performance. I wasn't expecting her to actually sing since she never did, but I was expecting some classic Britney dance moves and pops. Her dancing was the one thing she did that I could semi-respect. I guess along with her mind, her husband, her fans, and her hair, she's lost that talent too. She looked like a scared little girl at her first dance recital. Maybe she was nervous because it was supposed to be her "big comeback" and there were tons of her peers and other celebrities staring at her with high hopes. Still, she's supposed to be a professional and this is supposed to be her time to shine. We all know she hasn't had any trouble letting people down in the past, but come on ENOUGH all ready this is your "passion"! If you can't give it your all, what's the point? Though that was painful to watch, I still expect we will be seeing a few more random acts of Britney weirdness in the near future. Her album is coming out, and it's all about the publicity, no? xo

August 29, 2007to answer a question we get asked quite frequently...
xfalsepretense: 08/28/2007 6:32 PM
K lemme get this straight. You do NOT like scene but yet you're friends with Jac Vanek, Jeffree Star, and Zuicide. Oh and Silverstein. People call you scene queens too. This rids of scene how? answer: we aren't scene. we hate the term scene itself. those names you listed are our friends. we never came up with the title of being scene. other people did. what makes jac, jeffree, zui and silverstein scene exactly? i'm pretty sure they are the exact opposite of being scene. they are all individuals that work hard and promote themselves. how does that make them scene? scene kids are people who copy others and pretend to be something they are not. therefore, we are not scene nor are our friends. we are trying to rid the scene label to promote individuality. please read our profile for more info. and as jeffree shirt says: ![]()

July 30, 2007Avril is a sell-out?I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick of everyone saying that Avril Lavigne is a sell-out. I'm not a fan at all nor do I like her music, but this comment people keep making is completely ridiculous. FIRST of all, the music... Avril was never "punk". She was ALWAYS pop... .Hello, Complicated? (I'll stay away from my own comments on her stealing everything for now...) SECONDLY, people say she's going against all of her initial beliefs and statements she made when she was what, like ... 17?! I don't know about you, but I sure as hell know that everything I said and did when I was 17 or in high school is completely irrelevant now. I don't think the media or critics, or even general public, seem to understand that girls do grow up. It just sucks when you're in the public eye because they critique every little thing you do. But come on, I was totally a tomboy back in the day, much like a little Avril myself, and would never EVER set foot in "girly" clothes or even carry a purse. Now, I can't get enough of designer jeans and fancy purses. It's not going against what I believed in, it's just maturing and realizing who you are. Just because someone changes what they like or what they believe in over a course of 5 years does not make them a "sell-out". People change, the world changes. I just wish narrowminded critics would change too. xo

July 23, 2007it's funny when...
someone complains about learning who their real friends are or saying certain things for attention and sympathy when they are the ones at fault or are pretty much talking about themselves. not that we have anything to do with it but if you only knew the things that we know, you would think a lot differently about some of your favorite so called idols. just sayin'.
